There have been dozens of regular old window restoration workshops over the past few years, but even the most confident and attentive participant in those workshops is going to go home and run into something they didn't encounter in class. This workshop will be a deeper dive into wood repairs while working in a lead safe manner. Topics we will cover include:
- Wood dutchmans
- Doweling wobbly corner joints
- Rebuilding rotted joinery
- Rebuilding worn or chewed profiles
- Replacing broken stop trim and parting bead
This is still a beginners friendly class, but come prepared to be introduced to a variety of hand tools and power tools.
