Nelsonville School Commons Window Restoration

Blind Eye Restoration was contracted by Woda Construction, Inc to repair and restore a series of wood and steel windows and transoms in the historic Nelsonville School in Nelsonville, Ohio,  in conjunction with their full restoration of the building into apartment units. The project was completed on schedule and according to all Secretary of Interior standards for restoration. A specific highlight was the salvage of textured prismatic chicken wire glass  that perfectly matched the broken panes in the large East wing stairwell window, allowing for the maintenance of the historic glass rather than replacement with non-historic replica materials.
