Steel Casement Window Restoration

Steel casement window restoration is a specialty of the Blind Eye Restoration Team. It is also not a service commonly offered by window repair companies and we are proud to offer steel window restoration as one of our top services.

The Blind Eye Restoration team was hired by local residents of the Sessions Village neighborhood in Bexley, Ohio to perform full restoration on all of their steel casement windows. The window restoration work began in late 2018 with 2 steel casement windows in the kitchen and has since expanded to their entire home.

The steel window restoration process starts with removing the steel casement windows from the opening and bringing them back to our shop. There we repair all rusted and deteriorated steel window parts, and refinish the interior and exterior paint and glazing. The team reinstalls the steel casement windows with traditional materials and methods just as we found them. This includes any necessary sill and trim repair or replacement where the wood elements had significantly aged and rotted away.

The client has been great to work with and has brought the Blind Eye Restoration team back for several other projects including the refinishing of the front door and storm door, and sanding and refinishing the natural wood paneling in the client's library.
